strawberry island II /Erdbeerinsel II
video installation 2004

The island, a model built of Lego pieces and miscellaneous finds becomes the centre of the installation. Highlighted by the video projection it casts cloud on the screen behind, blending with video sequences and pictures of landscapes and skies. In the video sequences the construction of the house starts to burn. The video projection are seen simultaneously on the façade of the house and on the screen behind. The different room levels are continuously shifting while the shadow play develops into an own video sequence, oscillating between real and phantasmagorical pictures.
