flowers VII
installation 2004

I used an archetype for this installation: A flower and a machine – nature and artificiality, expressing commonality and contrast.

The flower as an allegory of nature: becoming – being –decaying / blossoming-withering!
On the other hand, the robot a machine, stands for the will of creation, representing knowledge, reliability, alleged calculability, construction/deconstruction.

A robot is mowing the lawn in front of the museum, but leaves out a space in form of a flower.

Appliances: lawn mower solar-driven, power cable for the circuit, recharge station
