gemini
video installation 2014/15
A figurine from the 18th century, found in the Palazzo Castelmur (Bergell/CH), served as a template for the video installation “gemini“. The headless object, which is reproduced in 3-D, is supplemented by a projected clock - the waist-clock of the original turns into the projected head-clock. The clock of the video shows a re-located time. The hour and minute digits dissolve in digital noise and the second hand moves in diverse rhythms back and forth. The projection becomes the all-encompassing and dominant superstructure of the twin.
